I’m delighted to announce the official inauguration of Belatrix’s Bogotá offices took place yesterday evening. Belatrix made its initial moves to Bogotá, Colombia in 2016, and over the past few months has been finalizing the office building. This is Belatrix’s 4th delivery center, together with offices in Argentina, Peru and the United States.

At yesterday’s event, we enjoyed the company of Belatrix’s founders Luis, Federico and Alex Robbio, as well as the presence of many distinguished guests, including Mendoza’s Governor, Alfredo Cornejo, Minister of the Economy, Martin Kerchner, the Ambassador of Argentina, Marcelo Stubrin, the Colombian Minister of Information Technologies and Communications, David Luna, and the Executive Director of Invest in Bogota, Juan Gabriel Pérez.

The office is located in a brand new, sustainable building in the north of Bogota. The facilities offer a high-tech workplace, combined with a healthy environment that reflect the principles and values of Agile software development. The environment aims to foster creativity, motivation and self-organization, which are critical components of Belatrix’s innovation-led culture. We hope the new office will allow us to repeat the success we achieved in Peru, where we have quickly grown to having more than 250 people in just a few years.

The opening of the Bogota office represents a new stage in Belatrix’s journey. Twenty years ago, the company was founded with few resources in Mendoza, Argentina. However, by focusing relentlessly on building a company which delivers high quality results and provides innovative services to customers, we’ve achieved rapid growth – averaging 35% year over year.

Colombia is one of the most attractive outsourcing destinations for clients because it offers a competitive labor force that is the result of the government’s investments and support of the technology industry. The increase in the number of qualified bilingual people, along with its strategic geographical position and infrastructure, has made Colombia a global destination for technology services.

All this week, we have been welcoming guests and employees from the other offices of Belatrix. We are very thankful to all the people who made the event possible, as well as to all the members of our new team in Colombia who have already built the foundations for future success. If you are in Bogotá, please stop by and visit us!
