With 2015 coming to an end, and everyone eagerly awaiting for the year end party, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on an incredible 2015 and look forward to 2016. Looking back on 2015, it’s tough to know where to start! Here are some of our highlights:
In February we inaugurated our new offices in Buenos Aires, but already by the end of the year we were on the move again, as we moved to larger offices which we re-designed to match our agile and collaborative culture.
Again we brought Agile expert, Hubert Smits to Latin America to train not only Belatrix experts in Agile, but also the broader Agile community in Lima. Belatrix now has nearly 30% of our individuals certified as Scrum Masters.
In May, Belatrix partnered with the entrepreneurial firm, Endeavor to create a mobile application to help put high impact entrepreneurs in contact with one another. The Endeavor mobile app facilitated connections between promising entrepreneurs, their mentors and the rest of the Endeavor network.
In July Belatrix signed a partnership with open source middleware provider, WSO2. This partnership was aimed at addressing the demands of organizations that, in an increasingly connected world, want to open up their technology systems to new sources of data, from the web, to cloud, mobile, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
We spoke at the largest user experience (UX) gathering in Latin America, where our resident UX expert Bruno Vilches, delivered a keynote on “Cost-Effective UX”. And Belatrix´s CEO, Luis Robbio, attended Outsource2Lac where he shared his insights on software-driven disruption.
We continued our commitment to innovation, hosting a series of hackathons and codefests during the year. Most recently we challenged Latin America’s brightest developers, engineers and software students in an internet of things (IOT) hackathon in Buenos Aires.
In December Belatrix was awarded with the “Great Place To Work Award” in Lima, Perú, and this same month we were also audited to fully comply with ISO 27001 security standards, which is particularly important for our clients in the fintech and healthcare industries.
And just to cap an amazing year, the independent research firm, Horses for Sources, included Belatrix in its prestigious evaluation of the top 13 global providers of software product engineering services. In their blog post on the report, Horses for Sources described Belatrix as “a new age software product engineering service provider without any legacy hangover”.
Phew! What a year! We want to take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues, our clients, and our partners for helping to make this the incredible year that it was. We wish you all a happy and peaceful time over the holiday season, and look forward to an exciting 2016!
