What is the history of the company?

The company was founded in 1993. Initially the company was focused on internal market (Argentina) in the automobile industry. Since 2002 the company is providing software development services to clients in the US market.

Our US headquarters are in Redwood City, California. Our South American headquarters are in Mendoza, Argentina. We also have 5 development centers in the following locations:

What is your average team size?
We work using Agile development, and in particular, Scrum. As a result, we work in small, empowered teams, which typically consist of 4 developers, 2 quality assurance expert, and 1 Scrum Master. Teams may also have other profiles, such as UX designers, or other experts working in them. Of course, many customers will have multiple teams working for them, or so-called “Scrum-of-Scrums”. We will work with you to find the optimal team composition for your project.
What is the mix of people working on such a project? How many designers, developers (senior and junior), project managers and QA would work in a team?
As we mentioned in the previous question, we work using Agile development. We have experience with different Agile methodologies, although we typically use Scrum. Such a team will have a mix of senior and junior developers. Typically a team will consist of 4 developers, 2 quality assurance expert, and 1 Scrum Master. We recommend having a full-time quality assurance expert as part of the team. Depending on your needs, we will bring in other experts, such as UX designers, into the team.
Do you take fix bid projects?
Yes, some of our projects are fix bid while most projects are ongoing but, please, feel free to contact us to learn more about fix bid projects.

What is your design, development and QA process?
Belatrix was an early adopter of Agile and has over 10 years of experience with various Agile methodologies in both development and testing processes. How do you communicate during the design process and how often? What platforms do you use for communication?
We know that effective communication doesn’t just happen, but needs to be proactively addressed. Leaders of distributed teams facilitate optimal levels of communication. Meanwhile, helped by Belatrix’s flat hierarchy, team members are empowered to communicate freely. In addition, Belatrix has established a tried-and-tested project governance process – this involves a committee that uses a set of proven processes to ensure projects stay on track with no surprises. This is our approach.
