Hubert Smits – Certified Scrum Trainer, Author & Agile Coach
Noted Agile expert, author, and thought leader, Hubert Smits has been one of the pioneers of Agile. Hubert worked closely with Ken Schwaber and Mike Cohn who founded The Agile Alliance in 2002. He has contributed to countless articles on the methodology and even co-authored the Agile Roadmap Program. Hubert became a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) in 2005. Since then, he has trained thousands of CSMs throughout the world. Currently based in Denver, Colorado, Hubert has his own independent consulting practice where he coaches executives and developers on how to master Agile. Working extensively with companies throughout North America, South America, UK and Europe, he has mentored countless development teams during their planning sessions and retrospectives. Hubert lectures regularly at various Agile conferences. His publications include whitepapers on implementing Scrum enterprise-wide (“The CIO Playbook” – with Ken Schwaber) and planning for multi-team projects in an Agile environment (“Five Levels of Planning in Agile Projects”).
Juan Pablo Calvo – Project Leader & Certified Scrum Master
Juan Pablo has a Bachelor’s Degree in computing science and started his professional career in the Quality Assurance department, specialized in Agile Teams management. He’s also a Certified Scrum Master. He has worked in several projects with different technologies and testing methodologies (GUI, Performance, Security, Stress, Web Services testing among others). Juan Pablo Joined Belatrix in 2006.
By having the possibility to work in both traditional and agile projects, he has had the chance to ease his preference to agile projects. He spent an entire year in Lima, Peru training and coaching an Agile Team and transmitting the Agile culture. Juan Pablo defines himself as a goal oriented person who likes to have challenges and defiant projects.
