Healthcare information systems promise quick access to accurate, complete and updated information about patients at the point of care as well as safe, legible and private sharing of records with patients and other providers. However; after decades of experience, physicians, nurses and other health professionals are suffering burnout symptoms due to the stress of keeping up with the challenges of using healthcare systems.

In this whitepaper we will present some of the challenges that healthcare IT has to address and why UX should be included in every project concerning healthcare software.
